Back to Germany: BTW 2017

Almost immediately after my return from the CSCW, I traveled to Stuttgart to present at the 17th „Datenbanksysteme für Business, Technologie und Web“ (BTW) conference.
The BTW is the premier biennial German venue for database-related research.

My talk during the data integration track was about my latest paper, which introduces a formal model for my query-driven knowledge sharing concepts.
One program highlight of the conference was the visit to the IBM Research Center in Böblingen. There, we not only learned a lot about the research done at IBM but could also visit their museum to admire a collection of vintage hardware including rare ThinkPads.
